Reading through the United States

Read through the United States with us!  

As we learn about the states, we enjoy spending time reading children’s books.  The fiction books immerse us in the colors and cultures of the state and tell stories that live on in our heads while the non-fiction provides photos and facts.  We love to have a physical book in our hands, however, another great way to find books for free (and in a moments notice) is to search for readings of them on YouTube.  

What type of books?

When I put together a collection for a state, sometimes I include books about animals in the states.  Other times, I focus on landmarks or land features, true stories, or notable  people. Great fiction that happens in the state’s setting are my favorite books to add in our studies.
